The Thar Desert alone justifies the trip. Every city in Rajasthan rewards a slow visit. Jaipur has the Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal but also the backstreet workshops where lac bangles and blue pottery are made by hand. Jodhpur has the Mehrangarh Fort and also the labyrinthine old city where spice vendors and textile merchants create a sensory overload that no mall can replicate.
